Swindon Council Resurfacing Work Near our Pembroke Centre Office

From today 1st November the council will be repairing and resurfacing the deteriorating road on Cheney Manor industrial estate.⠀

This work, which is scheduled to last a week, but may take longer depending on the weather, will take place from the section of road from Cheney Manor Road (near the Esso garage) to the mini roundabout at Darby Close.⠀

In order to complete the work as quickly as possible, the contractor will work during the day and overnight.⠀

🚦 Between 8am and 5pm temporary traffic signals will be in operation to allow for concrete repairs to be made to the road surface and for improvements to the kerbs and footpaths.⠀
🚧 Between 8pm and 6am, a temporary road closure will be in place to allow the contractor to carry out the resurfacing of the road, make ironwork adjustments and replace the road markings.⠀

Access will be maintained for local businesses and for residents who have an appointment at the Household Waste Recycling Centre, but please leave extra time for your journeys. Motorists heading for Akers Way are advised to use the signed diversion routes via the newly resurfaced Vicarage Road and St Mary’s roundabout during the day to avoid delays.
