How to Add O’Brien Media as an Administrator on Squarespace

If we are working on your Squarespace website, we need to be added to it as an administrator. This lets us log in with our own details, so you never need to share your password. The email address to add is:

development@obrienmedia.co.uk

You need to be the site owner, or an administrator with permission to invite people, to do this.

How to add us

1. Log in to your Squarespace account and open the website you would like us to work on.
2. In the left-hand menu, click Settings, then Permissions.
3. Click Invite Contributor.
4. Enter development@obrienmedia.co.uk as the email address. Please type or copy it exactly.
5. Choose Administrator as the permission level.
6. Click Send Invite (or Invite).

Squarespace emails us an invitation, which we accept so we can log in. Once you have sent it, please let us know so we can look out for the email.

The wording of the menus can vary a little depending on your version of Squarespace. If you cannot find these options, tell us and we will talk you through it.

Good to know

• We will never ask you for your Squarespace password.
• Administrators can change the site, but billing and ownership stay with you as the site owner.
• If your domain name is registered through Squarespace, tell us, as domain settings are managed separately.

Removing our access

When we have finished, you can remove us at any time. Go to Settings, then Permissions, find development@obrienmedia.co.uk in the list and choose to remove it. If you would like us to stay on to look after the site for you, there is nothing more to do.
