How to Check Your Schema Markup in Client Connect

Check the structured data on any web page with the Schema Validator in Client Connect, to help search engines understand your content.

Schema markup, also called structured data, is code added to a web page that tells search engines and AI tools exactly what your content means, such as a business, a product, an event or a list of frequently asked questions. When it is correct, it can help your pages be shown with richer listings in search. The Schema & Rich Results Validator in Client Connect checks a page for you.

Checking a page

  1. Sign in to connect.obrienmedia.uk.
  2. Open Tools in the menu, then Schema Validator.
  3. Under Analyse a URL, enter the full web address of the page you want to check.
  4. Choose Analyse and read the results.

Results are kept for 24 hours for each address. If you have just changed the page and want fresh results, use the Refresh button in the results.

Why it matters

  • Valid markup can unlock rich results in Google Search, the enhanced listings that show things such as star ratings, prices, FAQs and event dates.
  • It helps search engines, and AI assistants and answer engines, understand what your page is about, instead of having to guess.
  • Checking it spots problems before they cost you visibility.

Good to know

  • Check the pages that matter most first, such as your home page, your contact page and your main service pages.
  • If the validator reports a problem and you are not sure how to fix it, ask us. For websites we look after, we can fix it for you.
  • A page without any markup is not broken, but it means you are missing an opportunity.
  • Google’s own Rich Results Test is another way to see exactly what Google reads from a page.
