What does ‘above zero’ or ‘below zero’ mean on my account balance?

Above Zero or Below Zero, we’re not talking weather, we’re talking account balances.

Anything ‘above zero’ is a credit balance.

This means if you left us tomorrow – and your bills were up to date – we’d refund you this money to take your balance back to £0. If you’re not leaving then this amount will carry over to pay a future invoice.

In some cases you may have an “above zero” balance when you are less than a month away from a yearly renewal, as to ensure we have your current payment details on file we will debit your renewal fee early and apply it when your invoice is raised.

Anything ‘below zero’ is a debit balance.

This means if you left us tomorrow – and your bills were up to date – you’d need to pay us this amount to bring your balance back to £0.

This may also mean that we ask you you make a balance payment to bring your valance back to £0, this depends on the agreement you have with us and how your account has been managed.
