This final minor release for 2019 has been tested rigorously by WooCommerce team of developers along with real-life store owners.
It should be fully backward compatible with all WooCommerce releases since 3.0 and represents a move towards smaller, stable, and more frequent releases.
Here’s what’s new in WooCommerce 3.8:
- Powerful new Product Blocks for the Block Editor, including:
- Reviews by Product
- Reviews by Category
- All Reviews
- Product Search
- New hooks and tweaks for developers
There’s no change in the WordPress and PHP requirements this time around, but the WooCommerce team has included nudges to upgrade these minimum versions ahead of our next release in January 2020.
Before you dive in, take a minute to learn about these updates in more detail over on the WooCommerce blog.
