Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to change the DNS records on Wix.com to point to the Cloudflare nameservers so we can manage your hosting and make your new site live.

We’ve also included instructions on transferring your domain name from Wix to us.

1. Log in to your Wix account:
   • Go to Wix.com and log in using your credentials.
2. Access your Domain Settings:
   • Click on “My Sites” from the top menu.
   • Under “Site Actions”, choose “Domains” and select the domain you want to manage.
3. Edit the Nameservers:
   • In the domain settings, find the option for DNS Settings or Advanced Settings.
   • Select “Custom Nameservers” (you may need to confirm this action).
4. Enter the Cloudflare Nameservers:
   • Replace the current nameservers with the following:
     • chad.ns.cloudflare.com
     • lucy.ns.cloudflare.com
5. Save the Changes:
   • Click Save or Update to confirm. Please note that DNS updates may take up to 48 hours to fully propagate worldwide.

Once this is complete, we’ll be able to take over hosting and make your new website live. 🎉

In addition to updating the DNS, transferring the domain ensures everything is managed in one place. Here’s how to proceed:

1. Unlock the Domain on Wix:
   • Go to Domains in your Wix account settings.
   • Select the domain name you wish to move, then choose Transfer away from Wix.
   • Follow the prompts to unlock the domain and retrieve the authorisation code (also known as the EPP code). Keep this code handy as we’ll need it.
2. Renew the Domain for 1 Year:
   • Please note that as part of the transfer process, domain registrars require an additional one-year renewal to maintain the registration. This isn’t something we can change – it’s an industry rule.
   • The cost for this renewal through us will be added to your account.
3. Provide the Authorisation Code:
   • Once you’ve received the EPP code, let us know, and we’ll begin the transfer process on your behalf. The transfer usually takes 5-7 days to complete.

• As soon as the DNS records are updated and the domain transfer is underway, we’ll make sure your new website is live and ready to go.
