How do I switch from Wix, Squarespace or a website builder to WordPress?

The short answer is, if you’ve outgrown the features or functionality of your current website builder services, such as Wix.com or Squarespace (or any number of services provided by website hosting companies) then you’re going to need help making the move.

Move from Wix.com or switch from Squarespace

We’ve helped businesses of all sizes move from Wix.com, switch from Squarespace, and a whole host of other web builder tools (including GoDaddy Builder) to WordPress, and as we design and build websites using the excellent Elementor Pro visual website builder you retain the ability to make changes to your own website once we’ve completed the initial switchover for you.

Website builders: You can’t take your site with you

It’s important to note that you can’t take your Wix or another website builder with you to another provider – everything that makes the website tick is owned by the website builder company, including the design. So spending time, and money, creating an awesome design and a fully interactive website will be wasted when you have outgrown the website builder service.

When the time comes, your site will need to be recreated from scratch, in some cases including manually copying the pasting the text and images into a new, more robust and standards-focused platform like WordPress, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Shopify, or similar.
